Just tried the new poached eggs on a bed of rocket and avocado with sour dough bread and sprinkled with chorizo! Oh. My. Goodness! It was lush!!

This lovely Cafe was meant to open at 7am. We were driving around looking for somewhere to have a very early breakfast and the lovely man in there let us in early. He made a beautiful English breakfast for us both. They offered vegetarian sausages in the fry up (lucky me!) And you were able to customise it with your favourite parts. We will definitely be returning to the mad hatter's cafe on our next visit to Clacton.

great owner with great atmosphere excellent dog friendly cafe & even gave my dog sausage & also does custom breakfasts as well as set 1s for those people who cant eat certain things I would certainly recommend a visit if you are staying in Clacton on Sea!

Stopped off for Full English on the way back home after recommendations in the Clacton FB community group. Wow Superb and the recommendations were spot on. At one point I thought the Breakfast might beat me but soldiered on and was victorious. Had Bubble on it as well which was a nice change. Very relaxed atmosphere and seating outside, served by a nice polite Lady. Will definitely be back next time I visit Clacton. Best Full English in Clacton! A

I have to say I was so impressed as soon as I sat down. Very friendly staff and I warm welcome. Best Breakfast I have eaten for a very long time. Well done Mad Hatters keep up the good work and I will be back with the whole team next week.

Stopped by Mad Hatters Cafe for breakfast and had a really pleasant experience. The food was spot on—cooked perfectly and came out really quickly. It was also reasonably priced, which is always a plus. The staff were lovely—really friendly and helpful. The cafe itself was very clean and had a nice atmosphere. Overall, a great spot for breakfast, and I’ll definitely be going back!

We're not local, found this cafe on Google and it doesn't disappoint. Excellent customer service, better than some 5 star restaurants we've been to. The waitress that served us took away the previous persons items and cleaned our table, something a lot of places forget to do it simply can't be bothered. A decent cup of tea included with our breakfast and a good selection of breakfast items well cooked and at a good price.
